A single-parameter formula was derived for the JT prolongation index of the form JTI = JT(HR + 100)/518, with a JTI > or = 112 identifying repolarization prolongation in all VCD categories. It is concluded that it is preferable to predict JT rather than QT as a more appropriate index of duration of repolarization in VCD.

Our study highlights that both QT and JT intervals are associated with all-cause mortality regardless of QRS duration, with some advantage of using JT in the setting of prolonged QRS duration. In addition, we also observed an increased risk of mortality associated with shortened QT interval (<359 ms) and JT interval (<261 ms).

In this study, we aimed to apply corrected JT interval (JTc) as an appropriate measure of ventricular repolarization for predicting QTc in a formula. The study population consisted of 101 patients with sinus rhythm (SR) and narrow QRS complexes (< 120 milliseconds). All patients underwent electrophysiology studies or ablation.
