The Jaguar GR.1 was introduced in Update "Raining Fire". It is fit with afterburning engines and totes an incredibly heavy air-to-ground payload, with full ballistics computer capability to match, though its flight performance does not lend well to air-to-air combat.

2023年10月12日 · The Jaguar was designed to replace existing ground-attack aircraft in both the British Royal Air Force (RAF) and the French Armée de l'Air. It had several variants tailored to specific roles, with the GR.1 and GR.3 serving primarily as ground-attack aircraft and the E variants acting as two-seat trainers.

The GR.1 for the RAF was a single-seat all-weather strike and ground attack fighter equipped with NAVWASS (navigating and weapons aiming sub-system) enabling it to attack without using radars.

2020年4月28日 · Sepecat Jaguar GR1 (cn S60) XX763 was built by BAC at Warton and first flew in May 1975. It was displayed at the Paris Show in June before being delivered to the RAF. It first entered service with 226 Operational Conversion Unit at Lossiemouth for the continuation training of new Jaguar pilots.

The Jaguar was an Anglo-French collaboration, used for close air support and potential nuclear strike. Its development began in the 1960s and it served with the RAF until 2007. RAF variants carried the WE 177 nuclear bomb, an example of which can be seen here at the Museum, to potentially strike targets in the Soviet Union.
