2009年12月27日 · The only thing I didn't like about it was that the drain just had a plug and not a valve like the big pits. I stopped by Ace Hardware and bought a nipple and a gate valve and solved that issue for $20.

2010年1月4日 · I've looked at offset smokers at sporting good stores that are in the $400-$600 range and I just feel they aren't the quality that I would enjoy. It seems around $2000 is the entry point for an offset smoker with a 24" diameter chamber that's 4' long or so.

2013年12月30日 · I imagine if the backyard Jambo has an insulated fire box, it'll burn longer than most. The cabinet smokers are so efficient that not much air crosses the meat. There is a lot to all that air. 65% nitrogen gives a much better smoke ring, offsets or a cooker with more air have a distinct flavor profile in my opinion.

2011年9月11日 · Get a Lang 60 Deluxe with warming box and ask Ben to insulate the firebox and you'll still be at least $1k or more under the economy Jambo model. In this economy $1000 diff. is a lot!!!! Not saying Jambo isn't a great smoker, just would rather have that thousand in my pocket!!

2013年7月16日 · I have to admit the stumps smokers looked nice and had me checking out his website. Have already been considering Jambo for a long time among others. Also did anyone else catch how they said jamie was the "originator of jambo pit" and stump was owner and creator of his. Makes me think Jamie sold jambo. Thoughts on the two companies?

2004年7月21日 · I really like Jambo pits, and I've noticed a few things that are different with jambos than others. Quality is a big difference , and I agree, but what do you guys thank really make the pit stand out ? A couple of things I first noticed was the smoke stack, 1, sized larger than most, and 2, lower on cook chamber (grill level).

2015年6月3日 · Tables, smokers, grills, water, etc... There is something to be said for owning the "best". Also, something to consider...bbq is hot now and trending everywhere. But like goatees and huge car stereos it can go out of style pretty quick. When that happens that really expensive Jambo might not be so easy to sell for the price you are hoping.

2010年2月12日 · With a Jambo you control the flow at the smokestack. I'm not sure how that helps, but it is a big difference. 5. These pits have mags! Mags! Enough said. I mean to have one of these - but I won't borrow money to get one. I'm going to let the current Jambo craze subside a bit and then order one when I can pay cash - if I cna ever pull that off.
