James Howard Woods (born April 18, 1947) is an American film, stage and television actor. Woods is known for starring in films such as Once Upon a Time in America, Ghosts of Mississippi, Salvador and Casino and as the Disney villain Hades in Hercules.

James Howard Woods is a supporting antagonist in the adult animated series Family Guy. He is the man for whom Quahog's high school used to be named. He also serves as one of the main antagonists in season 6 and 8 and a sporadic supporting character from season 9 to 15.
