We're getting quite a few posts about JAPPA's latest iteration of the new Default Textures. These textures have been previously available as standalone Resource Packs downloaded from Mojang but now that they have been released alongside all the new blocks, items and mechanics in the most recent Snapshots for 1.14 Java Edition they are getting more exposure.

2018年11月3日 · This is not "pixel art", that happens because the devs added noise in Ps or whatever they used to make textures look rougher. Jappa does these things by hand, so also more logically. (good example of weird old texture: birch log - it actually has green pixels, blue pixels, red pixels...) Examples for old inconsistencies:

2018年10月24日 · I love Jappa's Netherrack so much. Way easier on the eyes without all the noise and the darker color, plus it looks like a volcanic rock which is fitting due to its proximity to lava. It basically gives the entire Nether a makeover since 95% of it is Nethterrack.

2018年2月3日 · Goodness I sure hope they don't bombard him with my pack. Connected Textures aren't likely to make it into the game. Simple as that. For making a glass texture that can't connect? I think Jappa already performed miracles.

2023年8月14日 · Recently, after a few years of playing with the "new" textures, I decided to turn on the programmer art resource pack for fun, and it was hard to believe how good it looked. It made me seriously wonder if the support from the majority of Reddit for Jappa's textures was ironic all the time.

2017年11月2日 · I think Jappa should make the Netherrack texture animate very slowly between a few blood red and dark red textures, it can use the same metadata as prismarine. When you are in the nether and you see the entire hellscape slowly change texture before you, it gives a super ominous feeling to the whole dimension.

2022年2月1日 · Jappa's said on that there are some things in Minecraft that are just too iconic to change so I've taken it upon myself to change those bits myself. I wanna keep it vanilla but break from the "dev texture" style. All are WIP so I'm open to constructive criticism, hope you like!

2019年10月29日 · So how do I make mob and block textures in Jappa’s style? I saw a post a while ago on making item textures in the new default texture’s style. I couldn’t figure out how to apply the item texture tutorial onto cubes.
