I've seen a bunch of Jari sickle bar mowers for sale anywehre from $150 to $275, mostly the 3 HP version. I have two questions about these mowers: 1.

2012年2月12日 · I have acquired an old sickle mower made by Jari. At first I thought the tin shroud over the belts and pulleys was home made, but after further inspection, there is an Identification tag on it. It could be aftermarket I guess, but someone went through a lot of work to make that tag look so good on it.

2009年8月23日 · My comments now would be that an older Gravely L model with sickle bar would be a *Much, Much* better choice for value received for cost and also MUCH better as a working mower. Jari was a booger to start, kept clogging often, and big wheels were too close together so always dug in on slopes, etcccc

2024年7月19日 · Actually sickle sections for Jari, Simplicity, and Montgomery Ward are all 2" wide x 2-13/16" long with 3/16" holes on 1-3/8" centers. One source is Webb Cutting Components in Grand Island, Nebraska, 1-800-578-1480. lan on paying around $5 per section. They also have rivets, etc. They make sickle parts for most farm sickle mowers.

2010年9月23日 · The picture the seller provided is pretty small, but from what I can make out, the drawing matches your machine (without the protective cover). To me this makes perfect sense, since your walk-behind looks very similar to the Jari Sickle Mower (i.e. the Chief or the Monarch), but seems to preceed them and remains disctict in subtle ways.

2010年10月13日 · The guard is a little different but same styling aspects. And yes I just got done cleaning out my shed for the winter projects haha. Have the sickle bar mower up on the work bench there now with the briggs and stratton engine NPR6. Up next is an old Lauson engine, another briggs, and a briggs 5s on a 1952 Davis reel mower.
