Like the other characters, he was a human who was transported into the world of the Digital Circus with the avatar of an anthropomorphic purple cartoon rabbit after finding a VR headset connected to the world, possibly attaching itself to him.

Jax appears to be a periwinkle cartoon rabbit whose design evokes the look of early cartoon characters, also known as "rubber hose" characters. He has long periwinkle bunny ears on top of his bean shaped head, and his overall build is tall and slender, with a rather long neck.
