2020年2月5日 · The Jazz III shape (large or small) may still be a little better for blazing runs, but hey, that's why I have lots of picks. My current #1 favorite pick is a Blue Chip TP48 (1.22 mm thickness with a "speed" bevel). I don't see myself going back to Jazz IIIs. If I lost or couldn't afford a $35 pick, I'd be happy with the Primetone Small Triangle.

2012年10月9日 · Black Jazz III: Maybe a little brighter than the red version, a little bit of chirp on the attack, OK but not my go to pick. Red Jazz III: Nice feel but the tone was kind of bland with not as much chirp as the black version. Eric Johnson: Warmer than both the black and red versions, liked the feel but the tone was a little bland, less chirp.

2022年3月25日 · Trufe dat. Yeah I bought a bunch a Dunlop Jazz I picks. Great for strumming and funk scratching. I like the pointy Jazz III better for single string picking though. Dunlop gots the Jazz I ready made for peanuts. Sweetwater gots 'em in stock.

2010年6月20日 · The 207 works well on acoustics because it's almost the same size and shape as a classic Fender pick, with the rounded tips. It's not as precise as a Jazz III, but it's good enough - 90% of the Jazz III's benefit.

2024年8月3日 · I love the jazz iii shape, but I cannot stand the size. I also like my picks to be about 1mm thick. Dunlop Tortex jazz iii XL 1mm is the one. View attachment 1435194 Also, if you prefer original thickness, the nylon Stiffo jazz iii XL are great.

2022年6月24日 · I use Jazz III Max-Grip picks and they have a great grip pattern and don't feel slippery. If you want something standard size, check out the Jim Dunlop Delrin 500 Prime Grip Guitar Picks. They have the same grip, but in the larger form. I wish they had a max grip on the Dunlop Ultex Jazz III XL.

2024年8月3日 · I bought some Jazz III picks, tried to use them over a couple of months but couldn't get used to them and eventually went back to regular size picks. Fast forward about 2 years later and tried again with the Kirk Hammett Jazz III picks. The Kirk Hammett ones have a little V shaped notch taken...

2016年12月6日 · - Larger than Jazz III, smaller than standard - Symmetrical so you can use all three corners - Burnished edges and tips for faster release. I thought this was just marketing until I tried them. The pick just doesn’t hang up compared to the other Dunlop picks I’ve tried (Tortex, standard, Max Grip, Flow, Trinity).

2017年7月18日 · Thanks. The Petrucci Jazz III's are 1.5mm, so probably not suited for my application. I need to be able to "strum" two and three strings with minimal attack. In the interim I bought tortex Jazz III's in .60mm and .73mm, which hopefully will be more flexible than a standard Jazz III (1.38mm.)
