2024年5月28日 · Jean Lorraine Proft. September 17, 1941 - May 14, 2024. It is with great sadness that we share the news that Jean Lorraine Proft passed away peacefully on May 14, 2024, surrounded by her family. Jean was a beloved wife of 60 years to her husband Fred Proft.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Proft, on May 14, 2024, a dedicated and valued member of our community. Jean served the Town of Barrhead with unwavering commitment for 30 years, from 1966 to 1996, including her significant role as Director of Recreation from 1977 to 1996.

Honouring the Legacy of Jean Proft: A Memorial Fund for Local Children and Youth. In loving memory of our beloved mom Jean Proft, we are establishing a memorial fund to honour her compassionate spirit and her dedication to supporting children and youth in our community.
