The Stinger is about $500 less expensive and seems to have way more bells & whistles, but the install looks to be intense (in the eyes of this 1-wrench kinda guy.

My wife has grown used to Apple Carplay, and after reading probably every post on this forum (great info!) I've decided to take the plunge. I've bought a OBDLink EX, colored adapters, and studied the settings AlfaOBD software.

My current software version is 15.04.31 and the new software is 15.21.37. I have already downloaded it and installed with no issues.

2022年1月17日 · Edit: after talking with the alfaobd guys I tried again. This time I hooked up the radio, modified the bcm to have uconnect 7 active, and did a proxy allign. After completing and restarting the car I had sound!! Woo hoo!I I did a second bcm change to activate android auto and car play and did a proxy align again, and android auto worked flawlessly.

2023年10月19日 · I upgraded my radio from the 7in Uconnect (non-navigation) to the 8.4. UAQ with navigation. Love the radio; however, some of the apps disappeared (wi-fi and SOS) through the radio updating on its own. BLUF: Recently updated the radio to its newest firmware and saw the radio install the apps I was missing; however, they are still not on the radio.
