The Jason Heigl Foundation’s Namaste Spay and Neuter Initiative aims to address the issue of overcrowded animal shelters and the needless euthanasia of healthy pets. This is achieved by curbing the population of unwanted cats and dogs through spay and neuter surgery.

Our internal rescue group the Heigl Hounds Of Hope saves vulnerable dogs from high kill shelters – many of whom have suffered from neglect, abandonment and abuse.

The mission of the JDHF is to eliminate the needless suffering inflicted on animals by human cruelty, indifference, and ignorance. Our primary focus is the greater Los Angeles area, for now.
