2022年4月5日 · The Minister announced a new National Highway to ease traffic congestion in Panvel. The new highway will start from Chirner via Uran-JNPT-Chowk and will connect to the Goa-Mumbai highway, Mumbai-Pune Expressway, and Mumbai-Pune old highway.

National Highway 348, commonly called JNPT Road or NH348, previously knows as NH-4B is a 6 lane access controlled expressway in India. It is an upgrade of thefour-lane NH-4B into a six-lane controlled access highway under JNPT port road connectivity project. [1][2] NH-348 traverses the city of South Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra in India. [3][4]

The Panvel exit route on the Mumbai carriageway to travel towards Panvel, Mumbra and JNPT via Kalamboli Circle will be closed for the next six months due to construction work. The closure will impact all types of vehicles, including light and heavy transport.
