The LORD Speaks - Then the LORD spoke to Job out of the storm. He said:

The LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I will come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear when I speak with you, and they will always put their trust in you.” And Moses relayed to the LORD what the people had said. Thus the LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.

God calls upon Job to answer. (1-3) God questions Job. (4-11) Concerning the light and darkness. (12-24) Concerning other mighty works. (25-41)1-3 Job had silenced, but had not convinced his friends. Elihu had silenced Job, but had not brought him to admit his guilt before God. It pleased the Lord to interpose.

The Lord Reveals His Omnipotence to Job. 38 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: By words without knowledge? 4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. 5 Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the [b]line upon it?

The Lord Reveals His Omnipotence to Job - Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:

38:1] Now the Lord enters the debate and addresses two discourses (chaps. and ) to Job, speaking of divine wisdom and power. Such things are altogether beyond the capacity of Job.
