My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.

We learn from Job that suffering is not always a result of sin, nor that the righteous are exempt from tribulations and trials. We also see clearly that God sets protective parameters around those that trust in Him, and we understand that Satan is the cause of many sufferings and hardships.

Now the blessed Job saw God with his eyes (Job 42:5): "With the hearing of the ear, I have heard Thee, but now my eye seeth Thee." Much more therefore will the glorified eye be able to see God in His essence.
