On November 22, 2024 Jody M Oker was in a fatal accident on Highway 285. Jody touched the community and had a bigger than life personality. She deserves more than a post, but a permanent group of everyone that knew and loved her.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jody Oker, who tragically lost her life in a car accident on November 22. Jody was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her granddaughters were the most important part of her life.

Platte Canyon Graduates is feeling heartbroken with Jody Oker. I went to bed last night seeing pictures posted of the horrific accident on Highway 285. I did not think I would wake up today and find out the fatality was one of our beloved community members. Jody Oker will wholeheartedly be missed by so many of us.
