John Deere 4420 Specs/weight etc | The Combine Forum
2013年7月1日 · Looking to purchase a 4420 combine that is a few hours away, will have to hire trucking. Trying to find dimensions and weight of the machine online but have not had much luck. It includes 13 foot grain head and 4 row corn head.

2008年1月24日 · Let me talk about the 4420. We ran 4400's back in the day, then a 4400 and 4420, then 4420 and 6620 then now the 9000's. The combine operators that have never run anything but big machines think they are super operators: they needed to run a 4400 in green stemmed beans, vines, a few weeds before the advent of roundup ready technology and such.

2008年11月15日 · Bought a 4420 about a month ago. seems like a dicent combine we paid 6800 for it with a 4400 parts combine. The motor went out of the 4420 so we switched it for the one in the 4400. Ihe 4420 has around 3000 hours on it.

2010年9月12日 · 6600 might have had a hydrostatic transmission as well. I see no advantage of a 4420 over a 6600, other than the parts availability might be better for the 4420, since it was produced later than the 6600. FYI - many of the parts off a 4400 will fit a 4420.

2014年11月12日 · If I remember correctly, the 4420 still used the bicycle chain to control the upper and lower pulleys to set the cylinder speed. The design goes back to the 3300, 4400, 6600, & 7700 combines and worked ok when they were new.

2019年7月6日 · IF the 4420 is the same as the 7720--only belt on the whole combine that is easy to replace. On my 7720, I took the belt & chopper off for corn every year. I simply grab the lower belt near the straw chopper and pull. The idlers behind the fuel tank will turn against the spring, allowing you to flip the belt off the straw chopper pulley. Let go.

2012年1月21日 · From what I have seen in the rice areas, you will not want to go that small, 4420 or 1440. Especially if you are high yield. You will be probably looking at 16-18 foot rice platforms on a minimum size machine of 7720 or 1660.
