As far as I have researched, primarily we need to understand in Acts 1:15–19, Luke is recording what Peter spoke (dialect) and not his (Luke) knowledge of Judas’s death/post it. Further, Peter's knowledge can differ or being specific (dialect) about Judas's death/post it/purchasing of the field can differ from Matthew/Luke.

According to the original text of Acts 1:18, Judas purchased the field (not acquired/obtained). According to Matthew 27, the chief priests bought it. But Jesus said that Judas was doomed to destruction (John 17:12) and it would be better for him if he had not been born (Matthew 26:24). Is the word 'repented' used in KJV refering to the true repentance which leads to salvation or was it just a feeling of remorse, which made Judas feel shameful and then led him to commit suicide?

However, Judas, and Christ's enemies, knew he had evaded capture before, and needed a way of being sure they captured the right person. And the attempt would be made at night, which brings us to the second reason. Judas knew that during that week Jesus was likely to be found with the disciples on the Mount of Olives of an evening.
