
Jōdō - Wikipedia
Jōdō (杖道), meaning "the way of the jō ", or Jōjutsu (杖術) is a Japanese martial art using a short staff called jō. The art is similar to bōjutsu, and is strongly focused upon defense against the Japanese sword. The jō is a short staff, usually about 3 to 5 feet (0.9 to 1.5 m) long.

Tsune-no-kamae is a very simple posture in Jyodo, yet we often do it incorrectly. The jo should balance on our middle finger, with our index & ring fingers only slightly touching it to provide support. The wrist and hand should be loose and relaxed. And with Nick’s help it’s easy to show how this comes together with a partner.
