The 21 cm Kanone 12 in Eisenbahnlafette (21 cm K 12 (E)) was a large German railroad gun used in the Second World War and deployed to fire on England from the English Channel coast in occupied France.

The gun fires at a muzzle velocity of up to 5,400 feet per second and has an effective range of up to 49,120 yards. Maximum range is 125,765 yards. Each grenade weighed 237 pounds, so a special lift truck was installed on the train.

This guns were made by Krupp. The first gun was designated as the K 12 V. The V stands for "Versuch", the tryout version. This gun had a steel cable along the barrel to provide for extra stiffness. It was operational in March 1939. The second gun, the K 12 N, was ready in July 1940.

The 21 cm Kanone 12 Eisenbahnlafette (21 cm K 12 (E) for short) railway guns were developed by the German armament firm Krupp, building on top of the knowledge learned by the WW1-era Paris Gun to drastically improve barrel life. They were tested between 1935 and 1938, and between 1938 and 1940 two guns were built.

The second gun was captured during the Allied advance into the Netherlands in 1945. At one point the Germans considering moving one 21cm K12 (E) to the southern tip of Sicily, from where it could just about reach Malta, 110km away, but nothing came of that plan.
