2017年6月16日 · Got a KSwap in the works for my 93 MR2 Turbo and I could use some guidance as this is the first Honda motor I have ever dove into. I picked up a K24A4 (or at least, it * looks * like one, I was told it was from an 03-07 JDM Accord ) and I got a good deal on a a KPro V4 with a 02-04 RSX-S PRB ECU.

2021年10月15日 · If you are road coursing get the K20. MR2's do not do well with 450whp and a 99mm K24 stroke will spin that chassis around alot harder than the k20. There were two people around here that had K swapped MR2's and they had a higher chance of spinning around in on and off throttle driving. that is all i will say, if you got under control good...

2021年5月20日 · To be fair the 1zz that came in this car had VVTI-L which is a better VTEC because it also controls lift as well. Me, I 3s swapped my aw11 mr2 and it runs about 400whp, and built a 5s-GTE for my sw20 mr2 that puts out 700+whp. I've drive K swapped mr2's and IDK they just feel weird, somewhat sluggish in the low end despite making the same hp.

2021年5月13日 · The K24 was also never developed by Honda as a top-of-the-line performance motor; only the K20. In that sense, a K24 wouldn’t have “all of Honda’s tricks”. It is very common to swap a K20 head onto a K24, but the dyno numbers here suggest to me that this is a mostly stock/bolt-ons K24.

2020年4月9日 · I'm currently assembling my MR2 Spyder for track duty with a K24. I've got a k20 oil pump, Moroso oil pan and timing chain Hybrid racing timing chain tensioner. I'd like to run an external oil cooler in the passenger side vent on the MR2.

A huge change might lend itself to the K24/K20 route. Purism aside, for under 300hp, I'd modify what you have, rather than paying to make an engine foreign to the chassis try to work. 2022年4月28日 · Hey everyone, good news I started the K Swap on my MR2, seriously appreciate all the advice I got on my first post! For now, I'm going with a RBB K24A2 with a RSX Type S transmission (ran with a kpro). This leads to my question, the SW20 MR2 is a cable driven car, so I can't use the drive by wire throttle body.
