2013年2月10日 · I have read good things about the Falcon Acoustics Kef Concerto (B139, B110 & T27) replacement of Kef's original DN12 crossover. I get the impression that Falcon Acoustics are huge fans of the LS3/5A (B110 & T27), to the extent of manufacturing their own version of the B110 and offering a Morel tweeter as an alternative to the T27.

2012年12月1日 · These KEF units were OK in their day, but there are much better units available today I built some huge transmission line speakers using the KEF B139, B110, coupled with Celestion HF1300 and Coles 4001G, and it sounded pretty decent in the 70's and 80's, but not by today's standards.

2014年4月22日 · In building the speakers I also wanted to replicate the "famous" BBC LS3/5a (B110/T27 combo) speakers and instead of the B110/SP1003 mid I fitted the B110/SP1057, slightly more efficient driver and tighter Kef spec. Going active with these speakers was surprisingly impressive on a speaker system that already had remarkable performance.

2024年5月22日 · The Kef B110 and T27 were the original drivers used in the legendary BBC designed LS3/5a, and I would assume they are in very high demand today. Reproduction T27 drivers have been made.

2012年10月21日 · I also built the crossovers, and used them into KEF B110 and T27. The 'extra' bits in the crossover network meant that the roll offs of the two units became more like modelling suggested, especially outside of the crossover region.

2011年6月23日 · I would agree that the 104ab crossovers were excellent, I adapted a pair for use with KEF B110 and T27, and I could not distinguish the drive units' sounds from even a foot away, so good was the integration of them by the crossover. They were eventually augmented by a B139 bass in a transmission line, and a Coles super tweeter when I replaced the T27 for a Celestion HF1300, for a sound-a-like ...

2017年10月4日 · Linn had their own design ideas for a mini-monitor, initially using Chartwell enclosures they acquired until the supply ran out after which Linn fabricated their own cabinets using the same criteria as the BBC/Chartwell enclosure. It was simply an appropriate, if not perfect match for the KEF B110 they'd been using all along in the DMS.
