2021年4月30日 · The LS50W-II is based on the LS50 Meta (Passive - 12th gen Uni-Q driver). So I assume that is where the subtle sound quality improvements are. Other than that I read it gets AirPlay 2 and has slightly more amplifier power, don’t think the LS50W really needed more power, and Roon something something?

2018年8月17日 · Here in the UK, SRP of the LS50 is £800, while for the LS50W it is £2000. A difference of £1200. Now I know to hard core audiophiles these prices might be low rent, to a normal person £1200 can get you a very good pair of active speakers, or it'd get you a second pair of passive LS50's plus a decent amplifier.

2021年11月5日 · With the LS50W II you get a minimalist integrated system and can just concentrate on the music! With the LS50 Meta you get to experiment with amplifiers, pre/pro and sources! Much more complicated but also could be more satisfying if you like to teak your system!

2018年11月6日 · Here I've compared the on-axis for both; you could use the difference between both speakers to create filter and make a DIY LS50W, at least FR-wise. That said, it's worth noting that curiously KEF's whitepaper measurements are all shelved down by about 2dB from all other reliable measurements, so they might be from an early prototype or simulation.

2021年4月30日 · I own both the LS50W (v1) and the LSX. After 4 years of use the LS50W were recently replaced w/ Burchardt A500, the LSX have been my bedroom system for the past year. I absolutely would go w/ Genelecs for a nearfield/computer setup. The Kefs sound nice and measure decently enough, but their appeal is largely the wireless/streaming features.
