2012年7月11日 · KEF found that the port itself can produce standing waves, affecting efficiency. Stick your finger in the port and you'll be weirded out - the flare of the port is made of the usual material, but the inside is soft and flexible, in order to absorb these waves.

2019年11月1日 · The Kef R100 was released somtime in 2012, and the Q350 in 2018 My dealer has both for sale at around the same price, the R series are supposed to be better, but does the time difference between when the two models were released change this?

2012年11月3日 · have not heard the amp but i compared the LS50 against the R100, R300 and Ref 201/2 I thought the LS50 were more engaging and detailed then the R's but less bright then the Ref, a really good monitor speaker the one negative as David has said is the bass they are good at lower listening levels but they are really not as good as the R100 at decent listening levels with a bass heavy track.

2012年5月2日 · Am quite new to all this, and have only had one demo - so I may not be the best person to give any advice, however it was the Cyrus 8xpd (qx i think) with Kef R100 and Q300 speakers. With the Cyrus & R100s I have never heard timing like it, simply amazing.

2012年7月31日 · - replace the Q2020i by KEF Q300. These are easy to drive and have a front firing port. These should give me more/deeper bass. - replace the Q2020i by KEF R100 or LS50. For best results an X Power should also be added. Both will provide more bass than the Q2020i. The speakers will be placed 10 inch from the back wall.

2017年7月26日 · KEF's sale price on the R100 seems like a good deal for a speaker like that, but then the new Q150 appears to be almost the same for $250 cheaper. The R100 does weight 2lb more, which is fairly significant, proportionally: ~20%, so something is definitely different.

2014年11月8日 · I'm down to two options to go with my Kef r100. Before I audition them just wanted to see your thoughts. Room size 3x3, listen to lots of styles, mostly streaming tidal , Qobuz and spotify, has to sound exciting at low volumes with a good tight controlled punchy bass. R100 are generally good for that but need the amp!

2013年4月16日 · I have R100 and can recommend them. I heard R300 and they are excellent, BUT they need very strong stands and as they are 35cm deep and they need 35-50cm from the back wall, so they will be at least 70-80cm from back wall into your living/listening room. So if you can place them correctly I think that you will be very satisfied.

2014年3月11日 · The Q300 has a front facing port and the R100 a rear facing one. So depending on placement on your room this might make a difference. Whether or not they will be close to a back wall the Q300 are going to give you better bass. The R100's should give you more clarity and insight. If it were me I would save some money and choose the Q300's.
