OK-Junior is a kart racing class for top drivers aged 11 to 15 (drivers must reach the age of 12 within the first semester of calendar year).

The most prestigious event amongst the Juniors (13-15 years) of the KF3 category, the 2011 CIK-FIA World Cup version should remain as a grand cru in everyone’s memory. Because the number of candidates out for victory, not forgetting the young drivers all with an excellent potential future ahead of them, was especially important.

This Junior kart is a full size chassis with a IAME KF3 125 cc liquid cooled engine producing about 26 horsepower. This configuration of kart and engine is used in Junior series (12 – 15 year old) racing worldwide – it will be at least two years before Kai gets to race in this category.

2013年5月1日 · KF3 is the class reserved for 13 to 15 years old Juniors. The full equipment is homologated and engine performance is limited by the absence of a “power valve”, by a carburettor with a small diameter and by an engine rev-limit set at 14,000 rpm (compared to 15,000 for KF2 engines).

The FIA Karting European Championship, officially known as the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship for sponsorship reasons, is a kart racing competition organised by the CIK-FIA. Alongside the Karting World Championship , it is one of two major karting competitions sanctioned by the FIA.

In a nutshell KF3 is Juniors running Kart Formula (see the KF there) spec engines with no powervalve, rev limited(I think to 14,000 but not too sure) and usually CIK hard or medium tyres. KF2 is for seniors, with powervalve, rev limited to around 15,000(once again, not 100% sure) and CIK Medium or Soft tyres.

Original Kart, commonly abbreviated as OK, is a kart racing class for drivers aged 14 and over, sanctioned by the CIK-FIA. OK is the primary direct-drive class in FIA championships. The class was originally called Intercontinental A (ICA), first introduced in 1981 at the European Championship as a secondary direct-drive class to Formula K.
