He then visited many KFC stores and persuaded them to order and use 99-X instead of the mix supplied by KFC. And so, many KFC stores ended up using 99-X in secret, which eventually led to a lawsuit between KFC and Marion Kay.

This clone is more like KFC was ten or twenty years ago rather than the chemicalized pigeon kfc sells now. What is even better is to make some cracklins from the batter and oil.

2023年6月7日 · EDIT 2: Grace's Perfect Blend's likely much closer to KFC's Sanders-era recipe than Marion-Kay 99X due to how close the two blends were created chronologically. From what I could find and my own experience there is a difference but it's subtle. Either way, the difficultly isn't isolating seasoning formulation but the cooking process.
