This repository contains the source for the RIC KPI monitoring application. This xApp can be onboarded through the xApp Onboarder. The xapp descriptor is under the xapp-descriptor/ directory.

The KPIMON xApp provides the first step towards the successful closed-loop control, through the monitoring E2 Node’s performance metrics, and writing it into Redis DB. With the near real-time reporting KPIs, the near Real-Time RIC can immediately control E2 Nodes.

KPI Monitoring xApp: Gathers the radio and system Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics from E2 Nodes and stores them in the Shared Data Layer (SDL). Anomaly Detection (AD) xApp: Fetches UE data regularly from SDL, monitors UE metrics and sends the anomalous UEs to Traffic Steering xApp.

Initial commit of KPIMON xAPP for Bronze Release Enhancement. The near-RT-RIC has to be installed. If is not, follow the instructions here: https://docs.o-ran-sc.org/projects/o-ran-sc-ric-plt-ric-dep/en/latest/installation-guides.html. Take care in installing dms_cli, mandatory for the second part. Chartmuseum has to be already on.

The onos-kpimon is the xApplication running over ONOS SD-RAN to monitor the KPI. onos-kpimon collects KPIs reported by E2 nodes through the KPM service model version 2.0. Since ONOS SD-RAN has multiple micro-services running on the Kubernetes platform, onos-kpimon should run on the Kubernetes along with the other ONOS SD-RAN micro-services.
