2023年8月22日 · Normally when removing 2 EL34's one has to reduce output Z in 1/2 to match back up the O.T. load. The EL34's are 25w rated while these KT90's are 46w rated. Well while running a tone & checking the output power I found that running into an 8 ohm dummy load, I had more power out with the Z @ 8 ohms then 4 ohms or 1/2.

2017年4月1日 · I should mention the amp is Single ended UL, "RH Universal" with KT 120 power tubes. Output is 20 watts/channel if you turn the bias up to 120ma. I usually run the amp with vintage KT90 at 100ma which is about 15 watts. cheers.

2010年3月31日 · The KT120 is somewhat like having the best of an EL34, KT 88 & kt90, plus 6550c attributes all put together in one tube. they run a bit hot though, and require roughly the same bias, but will last longer than the average 6550c tubes. I highly recommend the KT120 by tung sol; I am not aware of other manufacturers who actually make the KT120.

2022年10月16日 · I nearly forgot the KT90, even those have fine control on the bass and LF in general. An output widely used by Manley Labs and VTL. Then CJ introduces the ART150 and ART300's, and bass control and LF drive are supreme! Then comes along the ART108A's, using KT88's and we're back to square one!
