2008年12月30日 · Back to the original question, a Ka-Bar Dozier is not a Dozier. The blade and handle are thin and lightweight. I would think Bob helped Ka-Bar work out the proper heat treat, which would not be the same as for his thicker, heavier blades. The quality control is very good. Ka-Bar may be holding the price down to help sales.

2006年10月2日 · I have 2 KA-BAR Dozier Folding Hunters and a 3rd one on order. I also gave 1 to each of my kids. I love the design and would be interested in a larger version or an upscale version with S35vn and G10, depending on price. D2 probably makes more sense since KA-BAR already uses it and Mr. Dozier is known for his use of D2 for his custom knives.

2014年8月17日 · I also have both (even though I gave the Dozier to my daughter). The Rat 2 is a "nicer" knife in much the same way as a Para 3 is a "nicer" knife as compared to a Delica. Both are very good budget knives with the Dozier being a few dollars cheaper so you can beat the hell out of it and not really care.

2006年1月20日 · You know the Ka-Bar Dozier Thorn is different from the Ka-Bar Aluminum Handle Folding Hunter? The blades are the same D2 dagger. I've got the Thorn, actually, two of them. That Thorn is razor sharp and holds its edge. It is a small knife, but naturallly light and fast and the blade snaps open at a flick of the thumbstud.

2004年7月6日 · I do own the D2 model myself, but I have not used it or tried to sharpen it. However, D2 has the reputation of being hard to sharpen. The Kabar fighter that looks most interesting to me is a new model designed by Bob Dozier. It is made with 1095, same as the Marine Combat.
