Okay, so I’ve seen all the accusations of plagiarism. I decided to wait and see what happens. But today I wanted to look at the sources of the accusations. I just realized that one of the biggest accusations of plagiarism is on the Kacie Woody episode. I just went to look, and sure enough, it’s been deleted. But here’s my issue....

2019年5月4日 · Kacie Woody There’s been a lot of episodes that rate high on the creepy factor, but I think this episode is waaay up there. I’m 31 now and was a young teen in the early 00’s when talking to random people in chat rooms on the internet was all anyone that age did.

2019年8月26日 · I listened to the Kacie Woody episode since it’s back up and I didn’t get to it before it was pulled. It’s pretty easy now to see it isn’t Ashley’s writing. There are some really nice moments of imagery and detail that are not usually in CJ episodes (the horse figurines, the dark window, the snow.)

Did some research on Mitchell and the place he lived in his childhood lines up with the neighborhood in the book. Same with the guy (David Fuller) that killed Kacie Woody. Think this is totally credible.

2020年1月27日 · First thing that comes to mind for me is the Kacie Woody case. She was groomed for over a year by David Fuller who she met in a online Christian chat room where he posed as a 17 year old boy. He broke into her home while her father was a way, kidnaped and raped her and then shot her in the head. Then he shot himself when police found him.

2023年9月28日 · A few years ago, Crime Junkie did an episode on Kacie Woody and the Arkansas Democrat Gazette sent a cease and desist letter to Crime Junkie for copying their reporting almost word-for-word. Crime Junkie deleted a few other episodes where they had done the same thing and copied directly from sources without citing them at all.
