Khusela Ikamva is a five-year research project aimed at catalysing a more sustainable campus through energy, carbon, water, waste, and community-based initiatives, which are tested as living labs on campus. UCT launched the Khusela Ikamva “secure the future” sustainable campus project in 2020, as part of its vision 2030 Agenda.

Kamvelihle Tabata is a global citizen who actively participates in endeavours that foster social inclusion. His passion extends to community engagement, environmental sustainability and awareness, as well as advancement of technology in rural areas.

2022年5月23日 · At its meeting in March 2022, the UCT Council decided to support the Khusela Ikamva (Secure the Future) Sustainable Campus Project. Khusela Ikamva is a trans-disciplinary collaborative effort to set the university as a ‘Living Lab’ and and maximise its reach and impact.
