In 2000, Scenic World installed the Sceniscender, now called Scenic Cableway, 84-passenger cable car from Doppelmayr that passes over a 25-metre-high (82 ft) tower on the edge of the cliff, and then 510 metres (1,673 feet) to the Botton Station in the Jamison Valley 200 m (656 ft) below.

Wheelchair accessible with a capacity for 84 passengers, the Cableway is the steepest and largest aerial cable car in the Southern Hemisphere. Glide between cliff tops and gaze at the rainforest canopy through the glass floor of the Scenic Skyway!

A trip with the Scenic Skyway gives an amazing experience and view of the Katoomba Falls. After the upgrade in 2004, a cable car that carries 72 passengers across the Katoomba Falls replaced the Scenic Skyway.
