KCT Academy Classes and Camps. KCT’s Creative Dramatics Academy consists intensive sessions. Most classes will culminate in a showcase presentation for family and friends at the end of the term. The cost for the week varies by class. In order to enroll, a 50% deposit of the class fee is required to guarantee admission.

2024年12月22日 · The Knoxville Children’s Theatre has recently purchased a new venue at The Foundry that will allow for more space for this nonprofit organization to expand and continue the work they have been doing for the Knoxville area. The purpose of KCT is to serve as a getaway for young artists to explore their passions and express themselves through theatre.

Knoxville Children’s Theatre produces nine shows (three musicals) annually, with a total of 152 performances. At KCT, children under the age of 18 are the actors as well as the designers. With professional adult mentors, children design sets, costumes, production lighting, and they are the stage managers.

2016年2月26日 · KCT is East Tennessee’s leading producer of stage plays for children. To Kill A Mockingbird is the 74th play to be produced by Knoxville Children’s Theatre. Over 17,000 people attended a KCT play in the last two years. The play is directed by Dennis E. Perkins from a script by Christopher Sergel, licensed by Dramatic Publishing Company.

Knoxville Children’s Theatre will present 16 live performances of the classic fairy tale musical, “Cinderella,” by Broadway legends Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. KCT will be presenting the special G2K version of the musical; “G2K” stands for “Getting To Know,” and features an adaptation especially geared for young performers and audiences.
