The Kenbak-1, released in early 1971, is considered by the Computer History Museum to be the world's first personal computer. It was designed and invented by John Blankenbaker of Kenbak Corporation in 1970, and was first sold in early 1971.

2021年8月20日 · The Kenbak-1 was created by John Blankenbaker, a computer engineer and inventor, and Michael was drawn to the idea of reproducing it in the form of the Kenbak-2/5 (a 2:5 scale model of the original) for a key reason.

The Kenbak-1 Series 2 Kit is built using the highest quality parts available. Every part is new or new old stock (when new parts are not currently made). Every part required to complete the kit is included except the power cord, which I do not want to include due to possible liability issues.

I made a video where I try to demonstrate how the KENBAK-2/5, with it's built in Raspberry Pi, does a good job as a KENBAK-1 reproduction. As with the original you can enter and run programs, and view internal machine memory, just using the switches, buttons, and lamps on the front panel of the console.

The Emulator for my KENBAK-2/5 Reproduction simulates in software the operation of the 134 integrated circuits that made up the original KENBAK-1's hardware.

Kenbak-1 Series 2 The first ever made replica was made in 2007 with permission of John Blankenbaker by Grant Stockly from Alaska, USA. It was a very accurate and good work.
