Keren Zhu (朱可人) I am currently an associate professor/青年研究员 in School of Microelectronics at Fudan University. I was a research assistant professor with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2023-2024.

My work experience at the United Nations and think tanks in China and the United States inspired me to take on an applied perspective in thinking about world politics. Over the past 10 years, I was involved in research and practice related to China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Keren Zhu is a Former Global China Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center. She holds a Ph.D. in Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School. Her research focuses on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), global infrastructure, international development and program evaluation.

Keren Zhu (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI, USA, in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree from The University of Texas at Austin (UT-Austin), Austin, TX, USA, in 2022.
