2016年10月24日 · The front of the “kichka” was always decorated with beads, pearls, or decorated fringe. Near the ears hung elaborate temple rings. The back was either velvet or (for winter) fur. The top of the head had a separate small hat (called a “soroka”), which could be of different colors, often further decorated with precious stones.

These unusual hats with horns are mentioned in historical documents that are more than five centuries old. Scientists believe that the "horned kichka" or "kika" appeared in pre-Christian times. Most likely, this name came from the Slavic "kyka", that is, "hair".

2023年11月6日 · But what I did notice is that the base of the Kichka looks pretty similar to a lot of other slavic hats. They seem to all roughly be a cylinder shape. I have made clothing before but not a hat like this.
