2011年11月17日 · On my FC15 box, killall is located in the "psmisc" package. But it sounds to me like something hasn't installed correctly. I would imagine killall would be installed by default on even the most stripped of distro's.

2009年8月14日 · I'm attempting to use 'killall' to kill all mysql processes, however after using the command mysql processes are still alive. 'killall mysql' says no processes were killed, and while 'killall mysql_safe' gives no message there are still mysql processes alive afterwards. Below are the commands I was using and their output. This was great when I know a user had logged out completely and had tons of left over processes or crashed programs... I could su - to be him, and run "killall".

2006年7月18日 · Finding files in SUSE is not that complicated. Sure, using 'find' is not very convenient. But if you install findutils-locate, you get a nice tool for quickly finding files on your system (the first run of updatedb takes some time, but after that, it's a matter of split-seconds).

2009年5月3日 · EDIT: When going to Run Level 0 the last two scripts to be called are: S00killall S01halt The message "Starting killall" would be called at this point to shutdown any services that are still running. The fact that your machine is hanging at this point suggests that there are services that are still running that the script is unable to kill.
