Kincaid Park offers a mecca for outdoor sports of all kinds in a wilderness-like setting on the site of a former Cold War missile base. This 1,500-acre park sprawls over an ancient and rugged moraine at the southwest tip of the Anchorage Bowl at the west end of Raspberry Road.

Jutting out into Cook Inlet on the western tip of Anchorage, Kincaid Park is one of the largest in the city. But don’t let proximity fool you. With nearly 40 miles of walking trails, 20 miles of single-track bike runs, browsing moose, and even the occasional bear, Kincaid Park is huge.

Kincaid Park is a 1,516.78-acre (6.1382 km 2) municipal park in Anchorage, Alaska, located at 9401 W. Raspberry Road. The park is bounded on the south by Turnagain Arm, on the west by Knik Arm, and on the north by Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

If you park at the Jodphur parking area (off of Kincaid drive and the far west end of Dimond Avenue), you will come to the "famous" sand dunes and motocross area. Climb up the sand dunes and head toward the edge of the bluff, and you'll find a wonderful narrow trail.

6 天之前 · The Kincaid snowmaking system has been operated by the Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage (NSAA) since the winter of 2014-15. The snowmaking system is used to place snow on approximately 6 kilometers of trail in the park.

Kincaid Park is a huge park at the southern end of the Coastal Trail, jutting out into Cook Inlet on the west tip of Anchorage. Several miles of trails are open to hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing in the winter.

2025年1月2日 · Kincaid Park is one of the most popular parks in Anchorage. The size of the park is approximately 1500 acres and total length of trails extends more than 30 miles. The park was originally used as Nike-Hercules missile storing site during 1950s.

Kincaid Park, located in west Anchorage, is a blend of 1,400 acres of wooded lands, scenic mountain and water views, and opportunities for wildlife viewing. Besides being a world-class cross-country ski area, Kincaid Park is home to many of Anchorage's resident urban moose.
