KING'S X is a hard rock/heavy metal trio consisting of Dug PINNICK on bass guitar and lead vocals, Ty TABOR on lead guitar, and Jerry GASKILL on drums. In the late 70's, Dug PINNICK and Jerry GASKILL toured together in the Christian rock band Petra. The two of them met up with Ty TABOR in 1980 and began playing together as a band.

Sometimes considered a forerunner of the progressive-metal movement, King’s X are a curious band who have never quite fit into any one style or genre. Their songs are built around tight syncopation and unexpected key changes, yet the compositions don’t typically go past five minutes in length.
