For me personally, Kirby's Epic Yarn is a superb game (9/10 IMO), because the artstyle looked great and very stylish, the gameplay was fun and, while different from other Kirby games, still felt and played like one.

I played Epic Yarn. Cute charming game, but I beat it without even trying. Didn't feel like much incentive outside of the story, music, and visuals. I honestly enjoyed nearly every other Kirby game more. The caveat here is I played DKC Returns on Wii before the 3DS version and I honestly preferred the latter greatly.

I didn't like the new hats, the level design absolutely feels like it was intended just for Kirby's original yarn whip power, and I wasn't fond of the newly added bat. Still, looks beautiful, music is banging, and I can't hate anything Kirby.
