2015年6月11日 · CityJet is one of largest operators of the 146 in the form of the Avro RJ85. As an airline which has recently encountered challenges since its disposal by Air France-KLM, CityJet operates a shrinking network of routes from London City Airport.

From May 15th, 2017 KLM Cityhopper will wet lease two RJ85 aircraft from CityJet to operate four additional Amsterdam to London City services each weekday, bringing the KLM frequency to eight per weekday, four operated by KLM Cityhopper on Embraer 190s and four by CityJet on wet lease using Avro RJ85s.

Produced in three marques, the largest 300 series carries up to 128 passengers. A total of 221 were built until 1994, when the design was re-engineered and renamed Avro and included more powerful Allied Signal LF 507 engines (the series designations RJ70, RJ85 and RJ100 replaced previous Bae 146-100, 200 and 300, respectively).

The RJ-85's are powered by four Honeywell LF507 engines which produce 7,000 lbs of thrust per engine. Northwest Airlink and Mesaba were the largest operators of the Bae146/Avro RJ-85's in the year 2000 with a total 36 in their fleet. Northwest Airlink retired its RJ-85's in 2005.
