2024年9月17日 · Koenigsegg dropped off the world speed record holder Agera RS along with the Jesko Absolut and Regera before the cars headed out for a photoshoot. The Agera RS is the same car that set the top speed record on a public highway in Nevada in 2017.

The Regera was developed and designed to be a more practical, luxurious, grand touring alternative to the rest of Koenigsegg's lightweight sports car lineup: initially the Agera and later the Jesko. Consequently it is focused on the smooth and instant delivery of power provided by its overhauled powertrain, rather than on-track performance.

The Regera was specifically designed to be a luxury megacar alternative to Koenigsegg’s traditional extreme, lightweight, race-like, road-legal cars. It combines a powerful twin-turbo V8 combustion engine with three electric motors and cutting-edge battery power via new powertrain technology called the Koenigsegg Direct Drive.

Changes from the Agera's engine include the use of a new 180-degreeflat-plane crankshaft that saves 5 kg (11 lb) and increases the redline from 8,250 rpm to 8,500 rpm. The Jesko also utilises active rubber mounts from the Regera that reduce engine vibrations in the cabin.

The Koenigsegg Jesko is motivated by a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V-8 generating 1280 horsepower and 1106 lb-ft of torque on pump gas. On E85, output jumps to 1600...

The Jesko is supposed to fill the gap left by the Agera RS in the portfolio of the Swedes and in turn go on record hunting: With a (still theoretical) top speed beyond 482 km/h, Koenigsegg is aiming for a new speed record for production cars with the Jesko Absolut, an aerodynamically optimized version of the Jesko presented in Geneva in 2020.
