The Koenigsegg CCX is a mid-engine sports car manufactured by Swedish automotive manufacturer Koenigsegg Automotive AB. The project began with the aim of making a global car, designed and engineered to comply with global safety and environment regulations, particularly to enter the United States car market .

The CCX was a true third generation Koenigsegg, designed on an enlarged chassis with almost no components carried over. The CCX featured the latest available technology, including a new engine, new suspension and aerodynamics.

The Koenigsegg CCXR Edition was created to deliver superior performance - both in a straight line and on the most technical of tracks – and to do so in style and comfort. A unique coated fiber solution for the Trevita program that transformed the fibers from black to a sparkling, silvery-white.

The Koenigsegg CCX appears in Need For Speed: Carbon as a collector's edition exclusive vehicle. It comes in black and orange colours and cannot be customised. However, if the player unfalsifies it’s IsCustomizable field, the car will be available and can be used in Career Mode.

2006年3月7日 · The Swedish Supercar Manufacturer has unveiled the latest evolution of the CC Competition Coupé series: the Koenigsegg CCX, an extreme vehicle with more than 800 hp and a top speed just below 400 km/h. The CCX is the latest version of the Koenigsegg CC family, and was re-engineered to comply with the US regulation and market demands.

A highly advanced mid-engined sportscar that in concept rivalled the finest Italy and Germany has to offer. Using the latest racing technology a strong and lightweight carbon fibre and aluminium honeycomb monocoque chassis forms the car's core, while a specifically developed supercharged V8 is the heart of the Koenigsegg.

The Edition models were shod with a beautiful clear-carbon body, Edition 11-spoke wheels, bespoke aerodynamics and specially tuned suspension, with some extra horsepower thrown in for good measure. There were 4 CCXR Editions made, and just 2 CCX Editions. Koenigsegg announced a limited edition called the CCXR ‘Trevita’.

The 4.7-Liter-Twin-Supercharged-V8-Koenigsegg®-Engine offers 806 hp (817 PS; 601 kW) at 7000 rpm and 920 Nm (679 lb-ft) of torque at 5500 rpm. The CCX reached above 395km/h – 245 mph. The CCX is offered with an option of two transmissions: the 6-speed manual CIMA ® transmission or a 6-speed sequential manual transmission.
