I am a medievalist and a scholar of premodern Chinese literature. I am currently an assistant professor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures (EALAC) at Columbia University. Before joining the faculty of the EALAC department at Columbia, I taught at Williams College and Bard College.

My teaching and research interests include medieval Chinese literature and culture, poetry and poetics, historiography, classical tales and their adaptations in vernacular genres and modern media, and comparative studies of the Chinese Middle Period and medieval Europe.
