Kuy, also known as Kui, Suay or Kuay (Thai: ภาษากูย; Khmer: ភាសាកួយ), is a Katuic language, part of the larger Austroasiatic family spoken by the Kuy people of Southeast Asia. Kuy is one of the Katuic languages within the Austroasiatic family.

The Kuy (Khmer: កួយ, Thai: กูย) are an indigenous ethnic group of mainland Southeast Asia. The native lands of the Kuy range from the southern Khorat Plateau in northeast Thailand east to the banks of the Mekong River in southern Laos and south to north central Cambodia. [4]

Kuy is a member of the West Katuic branch of the Austroasiatic language family spoken spoken in northeast Thailand, southern Laos and central and northern Cambodia by about 456,600 people. In 2006 there were about 400,000 Kuy speakers in Surin, Buriram, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani provinces in the Isan region of Thailand.
