Louisville & Nashville 152 is a preserved K-2a class 4-6-2 "Pacific" type steam locomotive listed on the National Register of Historic Places, currently homed at the Kentucky Railway Museum at New Haven, Kentucky in southernmost Nelson County, Kentucky. [2] It is the oldest known remaining 4-6-2 "Pacific" type locomotive to exist. [3]

Louisville & Nashville No. 152 is a K-1 class 4-6-2 "Pacific" type steam locomotive built by the Rogers Locomotive Works (ALCO) in 1905 for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad (L&N). The locomotive was designed to haul passenger trains on the L&N, which it did successfully.

l&n 4-6-2 152 Description: On New Years Day 1952 Louisville & Nashville K-2A Pacific 152 was parked on the median of Elysian Fields Avenue, next to the French Quarter, where it was providing steam for occupied Pullman cars.

2006年5月27日 · On the National Register of Historic Places, Engine 152 ran on the Louisville & Nashville RR (L&N), including the Lebanon Branch through New Haven. Also ran between Mobile and New Orleans & hauled coal during the 1920s coal boom in E.KY. It runs as one of the last surviving L&N steam engines in the world. Dedicated May 27, 2006.

As late as 2020, L&N 152 was the oldest North American 4-6-2 still in existence after being donated by Louisville and Nashville Railroad President William H. Kendall to the Kentucky Railroad Museum in 1957. It has been designated the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Official Steam Locomotive.
