LDN 1003 is a large dark nebula complex, beautiful with naked eyes. Clearly visible from 2600 m close to Marmolada peak where i took this picture.

It resembles a dark tornado with a large mass of dark nebulosity at top emerging from a narrow neck below. This is a stack of 6 x 2-minute exposures with the Canon 200mm lens at f/2.8 and Canon 6D MkII at ISO 800.

LDN (Lynds Dark Nebula) 1001, 1002 & 1003 are dark nebulae found in the constellation Cygnus about 7 degrees 56 minutes 39 seconds southwest of the bright star Deneb. Also located in this region are some Herbig-Haro objects, specifically HH380, HH381, & HH382.
