2013年9月23日 · Will LMDE get new ISO images with Update Pack 7? LMDE ISOs will be updated with Update Pack 8 after the Mint 16 release to feature MATE 1.8, Cinnamon 2.0 and all the improvements planned for the upcoming version of Linux Mint.

LMDE aims to be as similar as possible to Linux Mint, but without using Ubuntu. The package base is provided by Debian instead. Linux Mint is an elegant, easy to use, up to date and comfortable desktop operating system.

2024年8月14日 · So if you want to go LMDE you would have to start with a fresh install of LMDE 6 and replace your current Linux Mint. For a future LMDE 7 you would likely have the mintupgrade tool available to upgrade your LMDE system in place, same as you've been doing with Linux Mint.
