The London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) Fowler 3F 0-6-0 T is a class of steam locomotives, often known as Jinty. They represent the ultimate development of the Midland Railway 's six-coupled tank engines .

The LMS Fowler Class 3F 0-6-0T (often referred to as the Jinty) represented the ultimate development of the Midland Railway's six-coupled tank engines. Several hundred of the class were built at a variety of manufacturers and were just one of the Midland designs employed on an ongoing basis by the LMS.

The Fowler 3F 0-6-0T’s were the LMS’s standard steam shunting locomotives. No development was made of the design as by the 1930’s the LMS had already decided on creating a diesel powered fleet of shunters. Despite this and possibly due to World War 2, the 0-6-0T’s survived in large numbers until the very end of BR steam.

The LMS 0-6-0T Class 3F Shunting engine, nicknamed "Jinty" to some, "Jockos" to others, was the standard shunting engine of the LMS. Sir Henry Fowler introduced them in 1924 due to a shortage of modern shunting engines. The LMS had a serious engine shortage of modern efficient designs, shunting engines were no exception.
