The NER Class O (LNER Class G5) was a class of 0-4-4T steam locomotives of the North Eastern Railway, designed by the company's Chief Engineer, Wilson Worsdell. They all survived into British Railways ownership in 1948.

2023年7月20日 · Records indicate twenty one LNER G5’s were fitted with P/P gear between 1937 and 1951. Three of which, 2093, 1882 and 1780 were operated by compressed air. These loco’s worked in the Southern area of the LNER. The eighteen loco’s allocated to the North Eastern area had vacuum operated P/P gear.

2021年6月8日 · The first Engineering Prototype (EP) samples of The Model Centre’s (TMC) specially-commissioned ‘OO’ gauge London North Eastern Railway (LNER) ‘G5’ 0-4-4T have arrived for evaluation. Designed by William Worsdell, more than 100 'O' 0-4-4Ts were built for the North Eastern Railway (NER) at the company’s Darlington Works during the 1890s.

Finally 35-250Z depicts loco 2093. This loco was one of the last to be repainted in full NER Green livery with N.E.R. on its tank sides as it appears to have been repainted thus after an overhaul in early March 1923, later that month LNER black with red lining became the order of the day.

The London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) produced several classes of locomotive, mostly to the designs of Nigel Gresley, characterised by a three-cylinder layout with a parallel boiler and round-topped firebox. It produced the most famous locomotive of its day, 4468 'Mallard', the holder of the world steam locomotive speed record.

Transfers are also included for the batch of 20 built for the LNER in 1944. A number of these vans were built under BR, but with Morton brakes instead of the independent type.

The Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway's (M&GN) 'Shunting' Class (LNER J93) were designed by Marriott and built at the M&GN's Melton Constable's works. In common with many M&GN types, the Shunting Class followed Midland Railway practice and included a number of Derby design features, such as the cab, tanks, and boiler mountings.
