2021年3月11日 · These wagons were derived from the NER/LNER 20 ton hopper wagons and the Slaters kit is a conversion from the Slaters hopper wagon kit. You start by building the basic wagon and then add some extension pieces to the top of each end. There are castings for the bottom discharge equipment so you need to drill holes for them.

Wagons will need running in or lubrication before use with weaker locomotives (i,e Plastic body tank Engines, small shunters, Dapol steam locos).

2021年3月11日 · I am about to build a rake of Slaters 7mm kits and find parts for the conversion from 20 ton coal hoppers to bulk alumina are in the box but no instructions. Should there be any and would anybody who has built these before care to share their experience?

2010年2月8日 · My own research suggests that most of the alumina to Fort William went in Covhops, at first in the LNER fleet of modified wooden bodied wagons and their purpose built fleet, CZO on TOPS, and then in BR Covhops with some of the LNER steel covhops still in traffic working with them.
